About Me

Avatar

Hello I am Jim Davis and welcome to my Blog page. I am an amateur photographer who has been shooting for a few of years now. I was intoduced to photography by family and friends. In my early shooting I shot mainly action, some of it was birds, most of it involved shooting at barrel racing events. I enjoyed shooting the events and making new friends along the way. I tried several times on making a business out of my photography, but found with the pressures of business I didn’t enjoy what I was doing as much. Over the last few years I shot mainly around the house and was pretty satisfied with what I was doing, but I always had bigger plans than that. I still plan on shooting just for my pure enjoyment, but this time I want to become a better and more seasoned photographer. While I will still shoot wildlife, birds, action and of course family. I want to dive into low-light, night, landscape, and lighting. I want to learn things like vision, new editing techniques, and most of all learn to set my camera up properly. I don’t know if I will ever achieve everything that I want to do, but I plan too give it my best. Hope everyone enjoys my post as I grow in my hobby.

Hi Jim, you share the same name as the creator of Garfield, of whom I love this inanimate furball soft toy creation of Jim Davis. I am enjoying your blog and admiring your photography. Keep doing it and thanks for dropping by my site 😀

    Hi, Jim –
Thanks for subscribing to my blog! Like you, I’m an amateur photographer, but contrary to you I’ve been taking pictures in some way sice the mid 50’s. After a rather long pause, digital photography was introduced to me back in 2004, and that me going again 🙂 Now I must haved taken in excess of a
100 000 pictures since then. And it’s fun!

Mainly I focus on landscape photography and a bit of ‘documentary photography’ shooting pictures of Norwgian cities, villages, tourist destinations or just nature. I’m also into a bit of macro photography through summer.

On my blog of today, you may find more than 3500 pictures from Norwy and Norwegian nature, mostly in ‘full screen’, and new pictures will be posted on a regular basis. (Please enjoy!)

Originally my blog was started to accomodate the 5 million Americans with a Norwegian heritage. I don’t know about you, but it certainly sounds like your friend Jim Hansen ought to be interested? 🙂
So if you appreciate what you find here, please do tell your friends!
